Getting Gussied Up!

Do you take the time to fix your hair, and do your makeup every day?  If so, do you do it first thing in the morning?  Do you stay in PJ's until your spouse is 5 minutes away from home?  Are you a liner and gloss girl, or full on, cover-shoot ready?  Let us know, and don't be afraid to share what products and brands you use!

I do my hair fairly often but I'm a 'I-feel-cute-today' make up girl. Either I'm going somewhere or I just feel girly. I LOVE LOVE LOVE MAC! I've been a user for almost 10 yrs now :-0!! Poor hubby, when I don't feel like it, I'm in my PJs and scarf all day!

Girl , I wake up and put on my pearl earrings before I start my day. No lie. I remember laughing at my grandmother when she did that every morning. I would say "Grandma, you are only going to cook breakfast, why the earrings?" She would look at me and say "You don't know if someone will knock on my door this morning." As far as hair, I have mirco-braids now (thank gawd, I am not fooling with my hair during this pregnancy) that I keep in a neat bun. If I am walking the dog, I will put on cute shorts or a dress and bun my hair. No makeup, just lip gloss. If I am going to the store or out with hubby, then I make sure to have a cute outfit (dresses are so easy) and add a necklace (pearls or chunky stones) and bring out the lipstick and powder (always Mac products). I am known by my friends to be the "girl with the pearls". I think you should always have a finished look. One time I was on my way to work and realized I didn't have my earrings on. I called into work, told them I would be late and ran into the nearest Target looking for temporary pearl studs. LOL!

Before I had the baby, I was always cute. Even if I was in my pj's around the house, I had on lipgloss and my hair was done. But now.....poor hubby. My daily uniform consists of a scarf, a sweatpants and a tank top(a breastfeeding one). But I am getting better. When I am going out of the house,i've started to put on makeup again. (I love MAC products!!!) and colored lip gloss. I'm getting my hair braided soon, so at least my hair will look good. I'm a work in progress right now!

I do my hair everyday. I am obsessed with making sure its neat and in place so its a must. I don't wear make up hardly ever. Every so often I'll put on an outfit and feel like it needs eyeshadow to finish it off. That's about it.

I do my hair everyday even if it is just a well brushed ponytail or bun. My uniform is usually a nice tank top or tee shirt with a pair of jeans and I NEVER go anywhere without my lipgloss (MAC)! I am new follower and I am looking forward to putting in my $.02!!

I use MAC shadows on my eyes, and MAC and Revlon on my lips, and Cover Girl mascara. Also, ChapStick are my lip's best friends! I always make sure to wear eye makeup to work so I don't walk around looking like I haven't slept in days (which I probably haven’t!) and sometimes wear lipstick to work also. Generally though, I don't wear makeup on weekends unless there is some sort of family function that I have to go to. And full makeup (eyes, lips, foundation) is reserved for weddings and Nigerian parties, and even then, the last time I wore foundation was at my own wedding 3 years ago! As for hair, I usually have it in twists which are fairly low maintenance. I can tidy them up myself and do so every 2 or 3 weeks when I have the time (or as they fall out, whichever is sooner!). I get my hair dresser to put them in fresh when I need all the lines to be nice and neat, but then I do the maintenance my self for up to 6 or 8 months at a time. That’s it!

And if I'm home and hubby is 5 minutes away, chances are the kid and I are still in our pj's, unless we've gone out for the day :)
